Abstract Submission Guidelines


Instructions
All abstract submissions must be made via this website by completing the online submission form and attaching your abstract file in MS Word as per the layout guidelines.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. There is no limit to the number of abstracts you may submit. Please indicate the preferred platform on the submission form. Please note that the allocation of presentation platforms may be changed by the Scientific Committee to meet program requirements.

Deadline: The submission of abstracts closes at 23:59 (GMT +8) on 16 May 2016.

• Call for abstracts commences – 1 January 2016
• Call for abstracts closes – 16 May 2016
• Notification of acceptance – 17 June 2016
• Author registration closes – 15 July 2016

Authors are required to select the theme that best describes their presentation from the themes listed below.

Format of Abstract
Abstract Title: max 200 characters (including spaces);
Abstract Text: max 2500 characters (including spaces);
Keywords: max 6;

Any abstract longer than 2500 characters will be returned to the author for reduction of character count.

Important Notes

  • Note that acceptance of your abstract and invitation to present at the meeting does not include a free registration nor any other financial compensation

  • ALL presenting authors must register and pay before 15 July 2016

  • Accepted abstracts from presenting authors not registered and paid by 15 July 2016 will be cancelled and excluded from the programme and abstract book. Abstracts must not promote a commercial product, process, or service. Information in the abstract should not have previously published or presented. By submitting an abstract you are agreeing to abide by the copyright & presenter responsibilities and the SETAC code of conduct.

  • Please note that the inclusion of a session in the call for abstracts does not guarantee that this session will be programmed at the meeting. Depending on the number of abstracts received, the scientific committee will decide to accept, merge or cancel the session. In that case the scientific committee will make suggestions to move your platform/poster abstract to another session.

  • Presenting authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection of their abstract by 17 June 2016.

  • By submitting your abstract, you give SETAC permission to publish it in the abstract book that will be distributed at the meeting among all attendees.
